Santhi is a PhD candidate and works in the Biomimetric and Dextrous Manipulation lab directed by Prof. Mark Cutkosky. Her research interests are in the development and applications of MRI-compatible sensors for surgical and medical robotics and devices. She was a teaching assistant for the global team-based, corporate sponsored, design course, ME310 in 2010-2011. She has built various brain machine interface art installations such as chaotic noise machines and drawing robots controlled by EEG input.
